EDTC 6320 - Cooperative Project

Project Description: 

This project aims to help the Educational Technology program director address frequently asked questions from potential students and employees regarding the fully online program. The director often encounters inquiries such as "What is the role of an Educational Technologist?" and "What career opportunities and earnings can I expect with this degree?" Our team developed a concise website with a client proposal that addresses these common questions, accompanied by a 3-5 minute multimedia video offering additional insights into the Educational Technology program.

EDTC 6321: Instructional Unit

Project Description:

This unit aims to improve 4th-grade students' proficiency in using Google Slides for presentations. Through video guidance and practice, the goal is to enhance their efficiency in creating engaging presentations, allowing more focus on content rather than technical skills. The unit consists of four slides with instructional videos for additional support, and the final slide includes a rubric outlining graded assignment expectations for a clear understanding of assessment criteria.

EDTC 6323: Interactive Multimedia Object

Project Description:

The final product demonstrates the application of Mayer's Multimedia Principles in my lesson. The video incorporates all of Mayer's principles, with a focus on the redundancy, segmenting, and coherence principles. For instance, the redundancy principle is applied by using text only when necessary, accompanied by voiceover for process description. The segmenting principle is highlighted at the beginning to remind students of their control over learning, allowing them to pause and replay as needed. The lesson, targeted at 4th graders, teaches two-digit by two-digit multiplication using an array model. Students access a Google Form with a instructional video, take notes, and then solve problems below the video on the same form.

EDTC 6325: E-Learning Module

Project Description: 

The purpose of this project is to create an online course with lessons to assist the learner understand new material. Developed throughout each lesson are multimedia elements to enhance the feel and retention of information. This online course teaches long division with the intentions of 4th graders completing the course. The course is held on Canvas and contains objectives with subgoals.

Project 5 - EDTC 6332: Educational Technology Practicum

Project Description:

In this project, the purpose was to create a web-based training as a solution to a problem or need to be met. The project is titled "How to Build a Google Sites." This web-based training provides a solution by streamlining the newsletter creation process using a website. The training covers essential aspects of Google Sites, from inserting header pictures to adding video links, aiming to empower my team with the necessary skills for site creation and management.
